Ground Training
The training at IGRUA is carried out in about 18 months for Ab-initio to CPL Course. During the first 3 months the trainees are with the Ground Training Faculty where they are taught and exposed to subjects like Air Navigation, Principles of Flight, Technical (General & Specific), Aviation Meteorology, Air Regulations and Radio Telephony Restricted (A). There after they are routed to Flight Operations for Flying Training.
Training
Training is imparted by a team of highly qualified
and dedicated instructors comprising of a CGI and
four other specialist permanent faculty members.
Experts from the industry are regularly invited to
take up classes in CRM, Air Safety and Air Laws. A
total of 556 lectures are conducted to bring student
to ATPL level in Ground Subjects.
The flying training commences in 2nd Semester first
on CPT’s (Cockpit Procedure Trainers) followed by
flying in Zlin/TB-20 Aircraft. 3rd Semester is for
Multiengine Training on King Air Aircraft following
the DGCA syllabus upto CPL level.
Computer Based Training (CBT) System
To make the Ground Training more effective and to encourage Self-study IGRUA has established a well equipped CBT lab. Presently it has 18 work stations. More numbers are planned to be added. The interactive CD's on every subject and topic results in better performance by students. Multimedia projectors both in the lab and class rooms enable the instructors to explain and increase participative instructions.
